General admission BAD idea! I work for a 1800+ seat theatre and we will not sell general admission shows ( we also don't even do heavier rock shows either). Extra Security! and mops to clean up the piss under the seats since no one will be leaving to go to the bathroom.
I am sure in years past most of the ticket money went to Ozzy, the other headliner and livenation. The smaller bands probably didn't get paid hardly anything anyway (sounds like they had to pay) so it shouldn't be too hard to come up with sponsors to cover expenses. How bad are the band going to be now? (Except for the headliners ) Can't get much worse.
