I think INXS picked the right guy for the band. JD was not one of my favorites but he really turned up the heat and did some killer performances. The Cocker tune and even the last Stones song he did were awesome.

When he sang the INXS song with the band(the older one) it sounded like INXS and it was obvious that he would win.

I thought Ty's performance of Cult Of Personality on the first night was the best of any, and Raphael was just ripping on that one.

And INXS formally announced their use of all Line 6 gear for their upcoming world tour. They also used Line 6 gear to record their new record. Thats cool. They are a really good band. Very creative. I am happy for JD. He wanted it the most and deserved to get it. To me.. he was the only true INXS fan out of any of them. Most of the other rockers only knew a few of INXS's hits. JD was a fan from the beginning. He will do a great job. Pretty Vegas is already a hit.

I hated JD at first. He was just a fucking drama queen who had to be the centre of attention even if it was bad attention. I figured out a few weeks ago though, that he was the only real option for INXS. Mig wasn't bad, but he had weaknesses in his vocal range that would not have suited the INXS style at all. Marty just plain sucked. He has a weak ass voice, and is flat 90% of the time. Plus I hate the way he stares into the camera all the time. I kinda liked Ty at first, because he had a lot of energy, and a great voice. The only problem was, he sang everything the same, and it got a little boring.

Yeah Marty was flat alot of the time...Surprised it was never mentioned. I thought his version of Creep was pretty good though. JD saved his best for last it seems.

You guys are just flat-out wrong about that "Trees" tune by Marty. It was catchy as hell and could end up making him a millionaire. Did you see how the crowd responded to it. It is the most downloaded song off the website and I don't believe it is even close. Yeah, to the majority of us with some musical background, it is cheesey and rather simple. You have to look at it from a non-musician angle. It is as catchy or hooky as anything on the radio these days.

I wouldn't buy it because I'm not a "pop" fan, but Trees was a well written pop song with a great hook. Bubblegum bullshit, but it will be a hit if it gets released.

That's the thing, Trees sucked really bad, BUT, it was catchy and simple, and that's what appeals to the masses. 90% of the population are morons that will buy anything they can hum along to.

Not judging it by the lyrics, the whole song (and the audience reaction) is what's wrong with music today (and for the last decade).

I realize i'm in the minority and not the target market for all the crap coming out today. At least "Pretty Vegas" was kinda cool, "Trees" just blew spewing anal chunks.
