I really wish Ed would focus on the EVH Brand of musical instruments and leave all this other Sh*t alone. It is very Gene Simmons of him!!! As a fan, I wan't to support my favorite bands and musicians through the consumption of their art, not crappy logo'd merchandise.

you have to admit that he's gotten a lot of mileage out of that design. I can't believe Converse isn't suing him for copying the Chuck Taylor sneakers.

They all do it, and why not? If a kid wants to wear FUCKIN SLAYER! on his feet, fuckin' let him.

At least Van Halen own the spec on the shoes rather than just selling out the name and logo to somebody else's brand.

They really are milking his design but I'm a firm believer in capitalism anyway so more power to them.
If people want to shell out their bucks for them be my guest. Someone's getting rich in the end.

The music is over for VH, saw them on Kimmel, that was terrible. They need to make a living that keeps him in the life he's now used to. So expect to see a lot of VH branded stuff. $$$$
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

I agree, they promoted the Kimmel appearance for their new expensive tour, but even on a well recorded situation like that, Dave still sounded like he was speaking the lyrics instead of singing them and the lack of range was clearly evident. I assumed they'd break up before the tour starts anyway.

Yah, the recent stuff with Dave is just head-scratchingly bad. Dave
essentially reciting the lyrics because he can't even pretend to sing.
As you say, watch for more EVH branded stuff to surface, and it'll get
                  worse the older EVH gets...

Meh, I enjoyed the Kimmel stuff when I saw it on Youtube. Yeah DLR has lost his voice but I'd still rahter have him in VH than Sammy Hagar.
