  • Anyone looking for a good straight forward band you've probably never heard of ?

Described as "The swagger of a young Axl Rose with the twin guitar attack of Iron Maiden. Nastier than Avenged Sevenfold and a bigger party than Motley Crue.", I give you Santa Cruz.

and proof that these guys are some serious players with some tasty chops:

Yeah, I checked them out last year and they're part of the new old school genre. Fun band for sure...

The 'VJ' in our local rock bar played some of their stuff the other night and I went up to ask who it was. Sure, it's 'revival' stuff, but I like it!

I hear some accents ... so I guess they aren't from Santa Cruz

That track reminds me of Skid Row.

This one could just almost be right off GNR- Appetite for Destruction(with maybe a little Crashdiet thrown in):

Wow! Their shredding is amazing, especially considering they play Les Pauls!!

Gary Moore, Randy Rhoads, John Sykes....not seeing how a Les Paul can't be shredded on, but whatever.

Can the bassist be any more of a Duff fan?

Not my bag of dope, personally, but whatever gets ya high.
