Cool! Whatever happened with that movie about him? Last I heard it'd all gone south...

My single biggest inspiration as a guitarist...he sent me to the woodshed as soon as I heard Blizzard of Ozz, and then totally blew my mind with Diary of a Madman (my all-time favorite album).

All these years since he has passed and he is still at the top of my list and I can still listen to Blizzard and Diary every day without getting burnt-out or tired hearing those masterpieces.

Agreed. Reason I picked the instrument in the first place. I was actually brushing up on some of his live solo work today (which I like a lot - I think his live sound is better than his album sound, which I think was a little to processed IMHO).

I didn't pick up the guitar because of Randy. He is the reason I never put it down.

Randy Rhoads made me want to play the guitar. Brad Gillis made me want a Floyd Rose.

And Allan Holdsworth made me want a Synthaxe, but I never got around to that.
