It looks like there will be a Mesa Boogie Mark V in the new year. You might want to wait until after Winter NAMM in January and see what that turns out like.

i went with guitar center the other day with my mind on a 6505+ and a evh 5150 III.
I was really impressed with the 6505+ and enjoyed playing with it. The clarity was amazing, bass was just perfect, and just liked the way it sounded. Unfortunately, the guitar center i went to did not carry the evh 5150 III, so i wasnt able to test it....
How much to these two amps differ, which would be the better choice?

The biggest difference..... One works, the other catches fire...

One of my 5150's was ejected out of a car in an accident and landed like 30 feet away in soft dirt... Worked fine. Even if the transformers were visibly bent sideways, haha...

Im going to visit guitar center and other music stores sometime this week to try em all out, i just want an amp with tight distortion and that has a body to it. What cabs should i try out? i always hear great things about marshall 1960's and b 52's

i have a b-52 at2x12 recommended by kmanick... i've had it over a year now with no problems, paid under a grand, sounds brutal when it needs to and has clear bell tones, i'm a beliver in this brand.
