  • MIDI Channel Switching

Is there a fairly inexpensive way to change the channel on my 5150 combo via a midi switching system? I run a Quadraverb through the loop, and am considering the switch to a G-Major, which would take care of the problem, but don't really want to spend that kind of money.

Maybe the Nobels MS-4 Midi Switch Controller might be what you are looking for.

It's $150. Not sure if you can go cheaper than this.

I used to use a Rockman Midi Octopuss, years ago. Half space, racked. Simple and effective.

Ultimately, I'd love to use the Rockman, but they're hard to come by and if I'm going to pay that much, might as well go with something new like the g-major.

I see 3 on Ebay, right now, and 2 more in the Ebay stores.

That's what I use for switching my CAE3+SE. Perfect and excellent quality stuff from and awesome company.

Ok, so I broke down and bought the G-Major yesterday, fleecing GC in the process! It's always a big day when you get one over on the evil empire. I was trying it out and asked the guy if they had one in stock, and he said that was the only one they had. Haggling my floor model discount, and lack of manual got me into the unit for $275. So far, I'm pretty impressed with the effects and the efficiency of having the channel switching is awesome.
