  • Boss pedal power adaptor question.

Does anyone have any idea how many milliamps these run on? I have a bunch of different 9V adaptors, ranging from 120 mA up to 500mA, and I don't want to use the wrong one. If I do, will it damage the pedals?

Be careful with that, Boss reversed the polarity on their adapter tips. Make sure the adapter you use is positive sleeve, negative core. Just match up the diagrams on the back of your boss near the jack, and on the wall adapter. It should show a small picture of + and -, telling you the configuration.

Just make sure the ma is higher than the pedal needs and you will be fine.

Okay, I bought a new a/c adapter anyway. I got the Boss adapter, and a snake with 5 connectors. Unfortunately my Vox wah didn't have an A/C socket, so my cousin gave me an adapter he had that goes from a female a/c socket to a 9V battery connector. I cut a hole in the back of the wah with a dremel and a drill, and installed it internally. I'm fully wired up now!!!

Well actually what I meant to say was that at least from what I've seen, a lot adapters meant for other products have the two poles reversed on their tips. Some are the same, some arent. I just wanted to make sure he checked that before plugging in. The Boss adapters have always been made the same(I think). Sorry if I worded that weird.

I had to use that one my crybaby.

Oh, it had a jack for the 9v adaptor. . .but the damn thing was too ill-designed and engineered to actually allow a adapter plug to FIT inside the tiny hole designated for it.
