  • Livewire Mustaine set

Anyone tried these yet? I'm thinking of picking up a set for my Ibanez RGT (mahogany neck-thru). Anyone had a direct comparison w/ EMG's?

I finally got these pickups after about 2 months of waiting and i put them in a jap kelly. I also have a warrior with emg 81/85s in it. Testing through a crate BV-120 with a bbe sonic stomp and a boss ge-7 in the loop. At high gain high volume there wasn't a whole lotta difference between the bridge pickups. The necks were a lot brighter than the EMG, but lacked some of the warmth.
But the mustaine set sounded awesome on the clean tone. way nicer than the EMGs in my opinion. I tested them yesterday only for about half an hour but ill post again when i play around with them a little more.

Ron, the Mustaines and the regular livewires are 2 completely different beasts.

I love the tone of my Mustaines in my DKMG.
