  • Mesa mark Amps and Speakers.

OK two questions, i did a search and couldnt find what the different stripes on mark 3's where, can someone point me towards that page again.

Second question, what do you guys think of the Mesa MC90's? I have a cab with them and cant make out exactly which speaker they sound like. Kinda like a mix between a 75 and a greenback is what i am thinking, but i also have an ear infection this week so half my hearing is off.

I wouldn't stray into the greenstripes. Pure personal preference here, of course, but they sounded a bit more sterile than the purple, blue and red stripe I've had the chance to try out. It might be a cliche already, but the green stripes are indeed only a small step away from a Mk IV, and those are awesome amps, but not what I myself prefer.

I know you're an ampwhore and boogielover as well but keep in mind Your mileage may vary of course!

Anyways, crank that sucker up and jam!
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I've got a MarkIIC simulclass with reverb, and it's pretty sweet. Def. not heavy metal though. It gets a really sweet STP sound through a 4x12 though. Downside is, I can't get a great clean AND distorted tone out of it at the same time.
