So has anyone bought/tried any of these? They're pretty darn cheap (hopefully only in terms of price). Is GC going to carry them?

I had the distortion one. Not so good. For $25 you can't really bitch though. They're almost completely plastic though and there was so much noise and buzz that I took it back. I was thinking of slapping the guts into an old Dixon chassis and adding a true bypass circuit, but that'd be too much work.

I bought the EQ pedal and the green tubescreamer wannabe. The EQ pedal is useful. Has a little noise (but so does the boss pedal which it's ripping off). I havent really put the tubescreamer through its paces though. Mainly because when you play through the clean channel, you can faintly hear the distortion in the background when the pedal is off. I'd definitely recommend the EQ though if you dont already have one.

I have the EQ as well, it is noisy when you have the gain up but you can't bitch for the money.

          I have the tubescreamer.

Seems a hair thinner than the Maxon, but for $24 it kicks ass,
