running 2 4ohm cabs- impossible?

if i ran 2 4ohm cabs with my 5150, wouldnt i need to set the 5150 to 2 ohms? the only options i have is 4-8 and 16 ohms on that thing

As it stands now, yes, that would only be a 2-ohm load. It seems to me you could have your speakers wired up differently (parallel vs. series) to get around that. I was going to do try that with one of my cabs, but ended up getting an entirely different rig.

series your 2 4 ohm cabinets together and plug them into one of the speaker jacks on your 5150. Set the amp to 8 ohms.
