  • Efx Pedal Board

I've been messing with my Pedal Board
I think I finally have something close to what I like

    Guitars>Tu-2>NF-2>CE-5>DD-2>RV-5>Stereo Out to Amps

    NF-2 Efx Loop send>PW-V-Wah>PH-3>X-series Metal Master>X-series Hot Rod>GE-7>NF-2 Efx Loop return>

So now I'm up to 10 pedals!!!!

I may swap the Boss DD-2 for the New DD-6 its True Stereo
so I'll be able to have the Stereo outs of the CE-5 go
directly into the DD-6 and the DD-6 right into the Stereo ins on the RV-5
and then out to 2 Amps
So the Chorus, Delay, and Reverb will all have a Stereo signal to the Amps

One nice thing about the NF-2
It has its own efx loop
I have my Wah, Phaser, ODs, and EQ all in the loop
I'm not sure how this afects the sound of the efx
The BOSS manual states to run Wahs Ods and EQs in the Loop

    One other thing:
I wanted to put the Chorus, Delay and Reverb directly to the amp Exf Looop
But the Send and Return are not Stereo on the Amps
Am I losing tone leaving the Chorus, Delay and Reverb as part of my Efx chain, but in stereo?
Or should I use the Efx Loop on the Amps and not worry about being in stereo?

    Re: Efx Pedal Board

I never liked the sound of a wah in the loop. It sounds better when its really clost to your guitar.
Sounds to me like you are actually using the stereo features of your pedals as amp splitters. I don't know if you will notice much of a difference mono or stereo unless you are using a panning delay or a stereo spread chorus.

        Re: Efx Pedal Board

I never used a Wah in a Loop either till I got the NF-2
The BOSS manual says to put Wahs, ODs, and EQs in the NF-2 Loop.
I'm using the BOSS V-Wah so maybe this is ok
I've tried it both ways, cant tell much difference
It might make a difference if I used my Vox Wah tho

As far as the Stero efx
all 3 efx are stereo, Chorus, Delay and Reverb
I do use the settings on the efx for stereo
sending the signal to 2 Amps
        Its sounds kilker this way
I'm just not sure if I should just put these efx right in the amp efx loop
        and forget the stereo setup
