My G-Major bit the dust this weekend

My G has 5 years on it and has been rode hard, put away wet. This weekend the LED started flashing and displaying odd characters and partial patch info. It would never finish booting. Prior to this it has been experiencing on/off midi board issues. I've heard mixed reviews about getting them repaired quickly and correctly. Any recent news?
Anyone retired the G-Major in favor of the G-System yet?

It's been abused in bars with beer, Jager, and smoke. I think it needs rehab. I called TC today and after 25 min on hold, I got a RA#.
Looks like I'll be a Line6-er for the next few weeks.
