    Found one of these cheap, could this sound anywhere near a triaxis with a boost in front of it? i love evergrey's tone and that's what im aiming for

    Think Mark series. It's not a Rectifier, and it's not a Triaxis. Good rock preamp, but don't expect alot beyond that. 80's tones.

      Ok then, can anyone recommend a tube preamp to get a tone like evergrey do to go along with my peavey 50/50 poweramp and marshall 1936 2x12 cab?? I know they use a triaxis, but i can't afford one of them lol

          I thought Evergrey used 5150's [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] The Studio preamp is what hooked me to Boogies in the first place... they get excellent lead tones!
