    Yeah,Dave uses lots of el34 distortion for his sound.

      Dave did adds with the Marshall rack stuff in it I seem to remember, JMP-1 and 100/100 EL34 MonoBloc. Can't say I've seen the JMP-1 in any rack shots of his stuff, although I have seen the MonoBlocs in pics before.

        According to Jim Marshall, Marshall does not give free "endorser" amps.........everyone using Marshall amps paid for them.

              Sorry to bring back an old post...Dave used the JMP-1 on the Cryptic Writings album and tour I believe(there's a picture of his tour rack from then on the net somewhere..2xJmp1s and poweramps), then switched to a Rocktron Piranha for Risk. I think Rust in Peace was recorded with a Halfer triple giant preamp?
