Re: Anybody tried an MXR Double Shot Distortion?

I bought one about three weeks ago and have had a small amount of time with it (sigh..damn work). Anyhow, I prefer it over any of the other distortion stompboxes tried so far. (1/2 a dozen or so)
If you have read any of the reviews from the guitar rags, they pretty much sum it up. Super quiet, built like a tank, and you can dial in whatever sound is your preference.
I will say that "less is more", as in most of my prefered settings don't go beyond the two o'clock position. I use it with the Twisteramp I got from Pete and run it through a 4X12 Fender cab. One channel for semi-clean classic rock, the "Dime" channel for a more aggressive tone.
As I'm sure you already know, we all have differing opinions in regards to tone. Give this box a try and see if it suits your needs.
One last thing, good reviews in this section about the MXR 10 band EQ also...
