    Re: Carvin Legacy

I can't speak to the Legacy - never tried one - but I do have a Carvin Bel Air. I run a Boss GT-3 direct into the amp, and it sounds killer. I've gotten many compliments on tone. A very versatile amp, and THAT'S what I was looking for. Gives me nice chorus'd clean tones, mildly-distorted strat-likes, and full balls-to-the-wall metal. Or, I should say the GT-3 does. My point is that any average-to-excellent amp will be greatly affected by whatever you're plugging into it. The Bel Air's a very good amp, excellent for the price. Coupled with the right guitar, distortion and other effects, it gives great sound. And I think that's true of most amps - depends on what you're running through it.

Word, I don't want to nitpick, but have you tried this amp in person yet?
