  • MESA MKIII question

Sorry to be 'that guy', but what's a fair price for a MKIII head (blue stripe with simulclass/eq/reverb)?

I've had an offer on mine and just wanted to check I'm not massively under (or over) selling, and of course there's none on ebay, even in sold/completed..

I have seen them between $799 and $1000. I played one at GC today that was $899. not sure of the stripe color, but it had simulclass/eq/reverb.

How big a deal is it to have the original footswitches, vs something like a Boss FS-6?

not that big of a deal. it is just a single button switch that takes a cord. exactly the same as the boss.

I bought my white 83 Mark III blue stripe 1/2 stack for $999.00
It came with both foot switches as well.

I have a blue stripe too....I agree $800-$1000 is about right depending on condition.

Mesa still makes those switches, so I don't think that's a big deal. They usually have them in stock at the Mesa store in Hollywood.

I have two Mark III's. I bought the Black Dot head for less then $500 a few years ago and a Blue stripe combo last year for $700. Both are simulclass/eq/reverb. I would figure between 700 and 1000 would be a good price.

                      Agreed. I wouldn't pay over 1000.
