  • Neat little chord progression I Just Came Up With

Here is a neat little 4-2-#7dim-1 progression in the key of E Minor I came up with a few minutes ago. Steal it if you'd like.

    e---5-----5-----------------------
    b---5-----7------7-----8---------
    g---5-----5------8-----9---------
    d-----------------7-----9---------

(The chords are A min, F# dim, D# dim, E min, with the D# dim. chord being borrowed from the harmonic minor scale.)

If you'd prefer an alternate fingering,

    -5-----5-----2-----3---------------
    -5-----7-----4-----5--------------
    -5-----5-----2-----4--------------

I just started becoming intensely interested borrowed chords for some reason.

Here is another borrowed chord progression I just came up with while writing this. It's in the key of D minor:

D minor, E dim., A dominant 7th, D minor, with the A dom.7th being borrowed from the paralled key of D Major. (I suppose you could also say it's from the Harmonic Minor, depending on the context lol.)
