OMG JJW , when i read your post that Shaun Baxter told you what yo do over PC i did*nt know who he was , but started to learn one Howe\s song ( i have printed out tab from guitart techniques magazine) and on the last page there was some very cool lesson about sonic shapes , and how to stack two minor 3rd intervals on top of each other, and that artcile was written by that very same Shaun Baxter , i even had sound file included , and he seems to be monster player* Holdsworth fan i guessHave you seen him play close up , how was he?

There's supposed to be NO discussion going on in this thread. I'm reporting all y'all perps.

Okay, I just went through this entire thread and a lot of the links are broken. I'm always on the lookout for backing tracks, and my favorite updated websites are below.

Joe Satriani tribute site, with backing tracks and fan covers:
                        http://guitarplanet.free.fr/backingtracks.htm

Massive amount of alphabetically-sorted and new/unsorted backing tracks compiled from guitar magazine CDs, partial band covers, etc.:
                        http://www.guitarbt.com/index.php?page=dl_list

Pretty much how I'm playing/practicing lately is downloading various backing tracks I deem are catchy and high quality (even from artists I've never heard of), burn them to a CD, and just improvise over the tracks.

                        Hope you guys enjoy!
