  • shitty recto clip!

This is my first mic recording. I had 15 mins to spare before work (a rare thing) so I stuck my new SM57 in front of the cab, turned on the amp, and hit record. No time to play with settings or mic positions....or even tune the guitar! It's direct into the sound card with no post eq or anything and at very low volume. I don't think it sounds that bad considering my ghetto recording style.

You'll have to crank the volume. I just noticed a big volume drop after converting it to an MP3 and uploading it.

                I used a Maxon OD-9 set up as a clean boost. (gain-0, level-2:00)

                  Prety good.
                  Develop that riff
                  Sounds promising.
