There are areas around me that are effected. Cedar Rapids is going to have massive damage downtown. Here in Des Moines, if you live around the river you might be effected. Thankfully, the rivers seem to be receeding now. All the levees seem to be holding. But if one of those breach, parts of Des Moines could be fucked.

Thankfully I live in an area called Sherman Hill. We are on a hill, that helps!

BTW, when did we start using the term levee instead of dike? Is that a PC thing?
