I have a 42" Panasonic plasma that I got about 2 yrs ago. Amazing picture and I've been real pleased with everything about it. Prices have come down and technology has gotten better since I got mine. "You get what you pay for" still rings true!

I'm rockin a 32 inc Panasonic tube tv. I'm going to wait at least 2-4 years for the plasmas and LCDs to drop in price then go shopping.

I have a 10 year old Sony 53" projection TV in my living room and I am utterly amazed that

a) it still works at all and
b) that the picture, colors, and brightness are just about as good as any new projection TV I've seen.

I'm waiting for this thing to kick the bucket so I can bring in a new 72" HD projection unit.

In my bedroom I have a 30" Apple Cinema Display doing double duty as monitor and TV. For those of you who haven't seen one of these in person, all I can say is... WOW. Apple should get into the TV business.

I have a 23inch Apple Cinema Display on my computer hooked up to a El Gato 500 HD tuner. HD Content is awesome true Hi Def 1920x1080. Especially the video based content as opposed to film.
Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

I was the same way. I few years ago, I got an awesome deal on a 32" Panasonic GAOO, arguably the best tube TV out at the time. Easily comparable to a Sony Trinitron. I swore that I would wait until it died before I splurged on a big screen. Well, since my Sharp 25" is over 10 years old, and still like new, I figure the GAOO has at least another 7 years left on it. So I said fuckit, I want a big motherfuckin TV, and I'm getting one now! Hey, maybe you can tell me something then. I know it has the hookups on the side for the A/V cables (for my Playstation 2), but does it have s-video input for my DVD player?

Never mind, I just checked the Toshiba site for the specs, and of course it has s-video. In fact it has 2 of them, plus a whole pile of other inputs.

Yes, it has more inputs than I need or even know what to use them for. By the way the stock speakers sound pretty good too.

The reason they looks so good is because they use Samsung LCD panels. Apple just designs the stuff... they don't actualy make them.
And yea.. they are some sweet ass monitors.

Are you sure they are Samsung's? I have a Dell 2005FPW and it has the same display panel as the Apple Cinema Display 20", which is made by LG.Philips.

The design is not worth the price, imho.

This is ours-

32" Sony WEGA FD Trinitron. We have an existing tv cabinet in the living room and that was the biggest tv I could fit inside.
