Re: Old set list

Cleve, I hope you don't think I was knocking you. I play gay ass shit in the band I'm in (Bryan Adams, Good Charlotte, Nickback, Godsmack) Then we play some really good shit too. I'm saying, I would rather be playing good music, that I like, but right now, I like the money considering how much in gear I've spent.

Re: Old set list

I was going through my cables bag, and I found an old list. I reckon this must date back to '95/'96.

Action - Sweet/Def Leppard
Born To Raise Hell - Lemmy & Ice T
Fool For Your Lovin' - Whitesnake
Sells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Fight For Your Right - Beastie Boys
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Daddy,Brother,Lover... - Mr Big
Hellraiser - Ozzy/Motorhead
Crazy Train - Ozzy
Big Bad Moon - Satch

-- Beer'n'Smokes break--

No More Mr Nice Guy - Alice Cooper/Megadeth
Slave To The Grind - Skid Row
Enter Sandman - Metallica
Ace Of Spades - Motorhead
Nothin' But a Good Time - Poison
Skin O'My Teeth - Megadeth
Blind In Texas - WASP
Screamager - Therapy?
Symphony Of Destruction - Megadeth
Suckerpunch - The Wildhearts
Anarchy In The UK - Sex Pistols/Megadeth
Peace Sells... - Megadeth
Johnny B Goode (200bpm Extreme thrash mix)

I'd forgotten how many cool songs we used to do! It's a shame that live rock bands are virtually extinct in these parts nowadays.

Following on from this, how about any old pictures of you in these bands? You know, the "I thought it looked cool at the time..." shots!
I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

No, that had not occured to me whatsoever. I believe you had a Queesryche quote in you sig if I'm not mistaken. You obviously like them, so I took it your comment quite positively. Yes, it was fun to be able to do stuff like that for sure. Hard to get a vocalist that can do it though...

Re: Old set list

Last set list for me was about 1991. We did mostly originals, but earlier (88?) we did:

Helpless
seek and destroy
jump in the fire
disposable heroes
fade to black
creeping death
for whom the bell tolls
am i evil

indians - thrax
alone in the dark - testament
practice what you preach - testament
the new order - testament
the conjuring - megadeth
milk - sod
start the fire - metal church
criminally insane - slayer

we did others but i can't remember anymore

Did less and less in the way of covers as we went along. But from 1990 to 1994 our sets would have these in them:

Aren't You Hungry - MOD
March Of SOD - SOD
Arise - Sepultura
South Of Heaven -slayer
Mandatory Suicide - slayer
Postmortem - slayer
20 Eyes - Misfits
skulls - Misfits
Got the Time - Anthrax
The American Way - Sacred Reich
Mouth For War - Pantera
Enter Sandman
and a song by Sick of It All I cant remember the name of.

Lets see. If memory serves (in no particular order) circa 1989:

Hell Awaits
Angle of Death
Reign in Blood
South of Heaven
Chapel of Ghouls (morbid angle)
Inner Self (Sepultura)
Fade to Black
Master of Puppets
Creeping Death
Chemical Warfare
Disposable Heros
Fight Fire with Fire
The Toxic Waltz (Exodus)
Four Housemen
Seek and Destroy
Indians (Anthrax)
Silent Scream

A Kreator tune or two to keep the drummer happy and a few crappy originals and a few others that are lost .. . ..... . .. ..

Cool thread. I started in a cover band. Although it has been a while here is some of what we played. I'm sure I'll remember some more later, we slipped in few originals whenever we could. When we did go all original we changed our name so people didn't think we were a cover band
