  • "Nothin' But A Good Time"

Check out this book if you are into the 80s Sunset Strip era ("hair") bands. GREAT stories, told by the musicians, managers, producers, etc...
    I mean, very insightful.

Love biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs, and even more so when they're about music. But which book are you talking about? There are two with similar titles and subject matter (80s LA metal):

Thanks! Downloaded to my e-reader and hopefully I'll get around to reading it.

Great book, thanks for the suggestion. I wasn’t expecting the format of the chapters being short paragraphs of interviews from tons of people. After the first chapter the format made sense.

Fun book. If you've read other memoirs, biographies, and autobiographies from people from the era, there won't be too many surprises here, but it was nice to have it all in one place.

The book can be juxtaposed with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_De...he_Metal_Years which I watched for the first time in maybe fifteen years, triggered by the chapter about the Cathouse. That documentary was kind of sad (even the title paints a negative picture), while this book (and its title) is more uplifting.

I find the scene fascinating even if I cannot purport to even listen to 10% of these bands.

I listen to 95% of those bands.
