Forum Speed

How come ever since the forum was redone a few years ago it runs so slow. pages take forever to load. It's like it's being hosted on a Compaq Presario in someones basement.

maybe something to do with the database being migrated through so many versions of vbulletin... I would guess either the database needs some streamlining or someone needs to pony up some cash for a better ISP for the site.

Just before posting tonight's slew of messages, I experienced several 524 Timeouts on the JCF pages I was trying to load in multiple browser tabs. Took a while for whatever the issue was to resolve itself and finally be able to successfully load the pages. Not sure what the issues are.
