Day Glow neon colors, Bengals and pointy headstocks remind me most of 80's hair metal.

For me, it's always been the BC Rich superstrats, the ST111s and Gunslingers. And no paintjob screams "80s" more than a Nagel!

I own a Gunslinger Retro Yellow and bought it as I wanted one in the 80s! Wish I had grabbed the green one too.

I was going to say anything with a Nagel graphic.

Does anyone remember Dweezil Zappa's blue Madonna guitar? I hope that Dweezil would rather be seen wearing parachute pants than playing that guitar again. If he hasn't already, he needs to donate it to Hardrock Cafe.

Speaking of Dweezil, my Charvel Custom Shop small batch Dweezil green San Dimas is my shoutout to the 80's.

Any radical body or brightly colored super strat such as a JEM.

These days, when someone says '80s metal to me, the first image I have is of Satchel playing his Kramer whilst wearing his '80s glam rock "costume" LOL....

anything in tiger stripe. most of the other finishes mentioned here could be played on stage for real metal and look cool, but not tiger.
