  • ABC News needs better fact checkers. LOL

I don't know if you got the chance to watch the ABC World News with David Muir tonight...
maybe you can catch it on the website or something?

They do this series called 'Made in America' where they showcase products made in the USA.
    Tonight they did Fender.
Of course, that is funny in and of itself because Fender makes most of their stuff out of the country. But they kept hyping the Corona factory.

HOWEVER, the funniest part of the entire piece was:

They were listing all of the famous artists that use Fender. Eric Clapton. U2. The Police. And if you watched the Super Bowl, you saw The Katy Perry Band doing the half-time show playing a Fender.

And then they cut to a picture of Katy in her flame outfit with the guitar player standing behind her

    wait for it

    wait for it

the guitar player WAS PLAYING A GIBSON!!!!

OMG, I was busting up laughing at that.

They must have edited it down. There was more to it live at 630.

It was probably Lenny. I don't find too many images of the SB with anyone playing a guitar standing near here except for him.

I seen it pop up on here in the "Whats New" feed, clicked the link and the page would not load. Maybe ABC was doing there edit then and realized the error?

I'm with ya on the made in America, we know exactly how that shit works with the guitars, but when I worked for a popular t-shirt company, we did the entire process from cotton to cutting , then the cut front and rear parts were packed with trim pieces that were the sleeves or collar material in a uni-pac box, sent to Mexico sewn into a shirt, brought back and a made in the USA tag attached. I guess that qualifies as mostly made in the USA.

The girl that sang with Lenny Kravitz at the Super Bowl.
I think she stalked John Mayer for awhile.
