          Sad news about Malcolm, hope he recovers and/or copes well.

          But this band is a global cultural phenomenon and unstoppable force of nature.

          AC/DC will carry on.

            In the blog post I linked they have a YouTube link to an isolated track of Malcolm playing. His tone is mid gain. A lot of the character of his sound comes from his Gretsch. They have a real hairy initial attack on power chords then cleans up as the notes sustain.

              Well yeah their sound came out of the 70's which was more about pushing low-gain amps to the "sweet spot" since amps didn't have a lot of heavy distortion

                Sad news. They are pretty much a staple in every guitarists influences that are into hard rock, metal etc. I hope he recovers and proves the docs wrong.
