    It was just announced on the radio that Davy Jones of The Monkeys has died. RIP

    I remember watching these guys' show in the mornings before school. My roomie and I were in fact just laughing about them pushing the bed down the street. Sad to see you go but you'll be in good company when you get upstairs.

          the only memorable thing from them, ahem wasn't them(IMHO) RIP anyways.....

                  It's well-known that the Monkees did not write all their own material. They were the first manufactured band (Nsync, Backseat Toys, etc), and so they needed most of their songs written by professional songwriters.
                  I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

                          Although its sort of beat to crap, I still have my old Monkeys Mobile car! It was made by Corgi Toys and that car was a Chuck Barris modded 66 GTO turned station wagon. Pretty damn cool!
