  • Converting A Squier To Stringthrough...

I have a Squier Affinity Tele sitting around and Im thinking of doing a project. I was looking at one of these (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...ge-?sku=360581 ). One issue. Mine isnt string thru, the strings just anchor to the bridge. Is it possible to modify it to be string thru?

Yes, drill holes through the body. You'll need a set of ferrills for the back

No ferrets!! Damn it.!!! I have been thinking about the same thing. I bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9396&rd=1&rd=1 and I want a Tele to set in up. They are not cheap and it is pissing me off. I thought about doing the drilling, but I am just going to wait and find a stringthrough with a maple neck. It will come. And you need to buy a stringthrough bridge. But I guess you knew that already. That is unless that toploader bridge has the holes already.

What is the reccommended diameter? And do I drill with the same diameter the whole way through?
