  • Professional series nut width

Hey guys. I'm contemplating ordering a Schaller Floyd to replace the OFR that's in my Soloist Pro. I know the OFR is supposed to be the best, but it won't intonate properly and the bolts are too long for the route. So I figure this is the best way to go with the least hassle.

Is it necessary or just recommended to replace the nut as well? If so, what is the correct size (Rx) on the professional pro series? Thanks for the help!
    Cheers!

No need to change the nut unless there is a problem with it. If it's doing its job, you're good to go.

I think he is more worried about the floyd not fitting in the route than the nut, right?

          the nut should be fine.

OFR's don't like the jackson schaller route. the bolts are too long. some people have choped there bolts to make it fit. most people only swap a schaller for an OFR on non reccessed setups because of the different routed dimentions required for each.

check the sticky thread for the correct schaller replacement.

+1, unless it's a different color and you want matching hardware.

Yeah, but if the general concensus was to replace the nut also, I would try to find a complete set. But if I can get away with only swapping the bridge, I'll do that.

Like they say... if it ain't broke, don't mess with it.
But I do agree that having the long OFR bolts hanging out is a bit of a pain.

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. One more question:

The Schaller bridge is the same (JT-590 style), just different nut sizes, correct?
                    Cheers!
