  • But will it match up ok?

I'm putting together a parts mutt that already has an Air Norton for the neck and one of those Ibanez 5 way switches (as with the RG321). Everyone says that the Tone Zone is the way to go, but I'm wondering if the Jackson J90c that I have will work ok in this config. Anyone?

My opinion is for the DiMarzio line you really can't go wrong with a Tone Zone. I tricked out my Iby EX1500 from its stock HSH config to a HHH config. I played around with a LOT of DiMarzio combos before settling on what I ended up with. I had a Tone Zone in the bridge, Fred in the middle and PAF Pro in the neck. It was sick! With the 5 way I could dial in a ton of different tones. I miss good ol Miss Pearl. She's sleeping in someone else's house these days.

The Air Norton seems to be extremely versatile. It could probably mate up with a number of different combos and sound ok. Just depends on the sound you're after I suppose.
In an insane world, only the sane seem crazy.
