  • Wiring a 5 way switch for 2 PUPS

I've done a search but can't find it and I know it's been posted recently somewhere. Can anyone point me to the wiring diagram to use a 5 way switch as a 3 way switch (2 pups no coil tap) please?
    Thanks

if you need to know how to just wire the switch, this will help. (it's a pdf file, so you'll need adobe reader)

what volume and tone controls will you be using? just 1 volume, 1 volume and 1 tone or 1 volume and 2 tones or 2 volumes etc??

either way, duncan should have it listed...

if you are using dimarzio pickups follow the duncan diagram but the wires will be like this...

        duncan red = dimarzio black
        duncan white = dimarzio white
        duncan green = dimarzio green
        duncan bare = dimarzio bare
        duncan black = dimarzio red

That's great info XSSIVE! Just what I was looking for! Do you know maybe how do the older Jackson pickups (J90c, J80...) compare to this color chart?

Jackson code is identical to Duncan except black and Green are swapped
