  • Easiest way to strip the paint off a guitar?

Plan on stripping a Charvel model 5 down to the wood. Any suggestions? What's the easiest method? Any help is appreciated.

A product called aircraft stripper (autozone,NAPA,etc.)will do the job nicely.Try not to use a metal scraper to remove it because you can scratch the body very easily. If you can get some wood shavings that works best to remove the stripper it wont scratch the guitar.
        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I never had much luck using aircraft stripper until the first few coats of paint were removed. I usually use a palm sander and I do the edges by hand.

            Quick Question:

Does Aircraft Stripper discolor the wood?
