• Unfinished maple neck and fretboard...

Any tips on cleaning an unfinished maple fretboard and neck? I've only had the guitar for a few hours and it's covered in fingerprints. It's also quite disturbing to see a record of my playing over the course of a couple of hours...I actually don't need 16 of the 22 frets supplied...
Cheers
Sean.

Vintage Scott Ian style. Although I think he had around 12 frets, then just had an empty fretboard from there on up with a "NOT" inlay.

Thanks Sully, I did look at your thread, my fretboard is almost white, which is why I'm so anxious about cleaning it. I'm considering getting the whole neck lacquered, I really can't cope with a dirty fretboard!

Put a light matte satin finish on both the board and the neck.

Actually had 14 frets....but congrats on even knowing Scott did this. I've had to explain where this came from regarding my Jackson Tele Click Here , as most people don't know about it.

Dude, only a few hours and it's covered with grime already? Wash your hands before playing! Seriously.
