  • Swapping EMGs on SLSMG for SD Black Winters but No Wiring Diagram :(

    Hello

I have a "new" condition SLSMG (glossy 2010 black) with the factory EMGs (soldered, old style) but they sound bad and overdrive my amp's clean channel.
I love the Black Winter humbuckers on my KV5, and it can also be coil split for single coil sound.
I've bought a Black Winter set (humbucker, for hard tail guitars) for the SLSMG, and a couple pairs of 500K push/pull pots, both A and B.

The thing is: SLSMG is 1 tone 1 volume 3-way-blade. I want to have 2 volume, both of them push/pull, but Seymour Duncan website doesn't offer wiring diagram for combination of: 2 humbuckers 2 vol no tone 3-way-blade There is one for 1 vol 1 tone 3-way-blade. I don't remember ever having rolled the tone knob down in 30 years of playing the guitar, so I don't need it

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for "2 humbucker, push/pull, 2 volume 0 tone, 3 way blade", or know how to convert "2 humbucker, push/pull, 1 volume 1 tone, 3 way blade" into it?

Here is the diagram on SD website: https://www.seymourduncan.com/images...n_1TppSPLb.jpg

This is closest that i could find you would just leave the tone out:

There's a lot of 3 way toggle 2 hum 2V 0T wiring out there, just follow that and sub the 3W toggle for your 3W blade. On the 3W blade you already have the prongs that correspond to neck/both/bridge wired connected together from the old wiring setup, just substitute accordingly. 3W blade tend to have differing prong layout (usually wiring diagram are made for US style rather than import style), easiest way to see what goes where is to look at how its wired previously.

          Thank you!

Successfully swapped them. The only issue was that my switch poles were 8 in line whereas online diagrams where zigzag. I just soldered to the previous soldering points. Luckily SLSMG has ground node/screw to the bridge, from pickup cavities.
