• Bringing the damaged guitar case to the cobbler?

I've got a guitar case that's in need of repair. Some of the vinyl has been torn off and the one end has lost its stitches and needs some TLC. The shoe repair shop seems like a logical choice since they do repair luggage. Has anyone had any success at bringing their damaged guitar cases to the cobbler? Any other suggestions? MF has hard cases on sale for 39.99 right now. I bet that's cheaper than a shoe repair guy.

I want to keep this case actually. It's the original from 1989. Call me a "purest"

If not a cobbler, maybe someone that reupholsters leather or naugahide furniture?
