  • USA Dinky jack cutting out

Some of you may have seen my post about just picking up a '91 USA Dinky with graphic. What an outstanding guitar and very well made. I'm not ashamed to say I'm a noob with Jacksons. Everything works as it should to include the JE1200. The slight problem I'm having is the jack is a little touchy. Sometimes when the cable moves, the jack will cut out. I inspected the 3 connections and it looks good. I'm not however familiar with the Jackson jack housed in the black housing. I would assume I should just shoot it with some electronic spray but want to check in with the pros first.

    Thanks!

Check for broken or damaged wiring. You could also have a solder joint that is bad.
A good old "wiggle" test should help you identify the culprit.
