  • How about the Pablo Santana WarKelly?

The flat black one at the NAMM show with the offset truss rod is growing on me in an obsessive way... if only it were a bass!!!

seriously though, that asymetrical neck shape was awesome, the body seemed to balance well and the gut cut was perfect. The body aesthetic is nothing short of punishing!!! The man is "The Man" for a reason.

Not a good shot, it is behind the Quilt top Kelly... Could not find a decent head on shot.

I know it's subjective, but from all I've seen from the NAMMs over the last few years, Pablo really should stick to building Jacksons and if he must get creative, he should sell his designs to BC Rich...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

I agree. Pablo is a great builder but good pointy shapes are really really hard to do. It's easy to look cheesy and derivative but hard to make it classy and iconic. Many of Pablo's designs just don't feel refined. Almost too fat and just not resolved.

The new Kelly is kinda cool, I gotta say. Some of the Extreme Warriors aren't bad. Body binding really helps those.

Yeah, that neck created some buzz. It doesn't work for everyone (me) but the guys that were into it (at least 6 that I talked to) LOVED it!

Those type necks (thicker near thumb, thinner at end) are really comfortable to play with. I have it on a Japan model ESP and it gives a very interesting feel to the guitar.
