A question about KE-1s...

how many different finishes were offered on these? and were more rare than the others?

i'm talking flattopped and beveled. because i noticed i never really see much diversity among KE-1 beveled axes, other than black and the occasional silverburst.

i know there are FEW transblacks and marty has a white one. those are the few i've seen him with.

and i've seen gunmetal grey ke-1 flatties, and a trans-blue. but none of any other color...

and how many floyded ke-1s were produced? i know the c.s. shop has a few with friedman's sig on the 'stock. were these called ke-1's too?

anyone have any info?

You can search through some of the old Jackson catalogs online and see what type of finishes were available on the KE-1s. I have a Pearl White KE-1 and a trans black, though the trans black is not the Friedman sig because it has a Floyd. The white one is. Pic at the link below...

Musician's Friend had some KE1 and KV1 models with gold Floyds, and they were signed in gold pen, and I think they were only available in black. I know there was also a black KE1 with black Floyd.

the model with the Floyd was called a KE-1F.

oh congrats dude, you're gonna love it.

it just takes some time to get used to the neck diving. No worries though, I got used to it in no time.

When I 1st got it I thought it was going to be a serious problem, I was used to my kh2 which is perfectly balanced.

after maybe a weekend I had already forgotten it was an issue
