Hey guys, I just acquired my friends guitar that passed away. Its a Jackson limited 88 and needs a full restoration on the electronics, Everything is corroded and rusted. Does anyone know where to buy the parts and what did it come with originally for pickups ? I don't play guitar so I don't know much about everything but want to get it functional again. Thanks for any help !

According to a reverb listing: j50bc/j200 pickups and JE1000 active electronics preamp. You *might* find them used but you might be searching for a while..Popular is not the same as good

Thanks for the reply, The "JE1000 Active electronics preamp" Is that connected to the volume knob ? Because I have to replace that also as its froze up and corroded.Comment

new original parts aren't going to be found. you can find after market parts at numerous places. We tend to reccomend fretsonthenet.com
but, i think the better possibility is ---- clean the old parts.Comment
