  • Strange serial number question

A guy on the Seymour Duncan forum posted this, I just wondered what you guys thought. The guitar is a SL2H

    Hello all,
The s/n on the fretboard is off by 1 number compaired to the s/n written on the card that came with the axe, its the last number. is this normal? I cant seem to get any info on my axe.
    Thanks.
the s/n on the card is u24273, the s/n on the axe is u24270.

Must have been a Friday afternoon and he was in a hurry to get out of there for the weekend. Doesn't surprise me at all.

He doesn't say if the card is correct. Personally, I'd have Jackson send documentation to verify the guitar was to be stamped with X # and keep it but ya know they don't want two guitars out there possibly floating about with identical serials.
