  • Jackson locking nut question

Did USA bolt-on Jacksons ever have a locking nut that was mounted with screws that come from behind and proceed through the neck, like an Ibanez Wizard? Anyone know which era they were used in?

Yeah, bottom-drilled nuts...you saw them from time to time mixed in with the top-drilled nuts. I guess they were ordered that way, not really sure what the rational was. I have an 87 (or is it 88?) pink strat that has one. The famous Jack Butler Strat has one, too.
