  • Can anyone ID this Jackson?

I only have the body, but for the life of me, I can't seem to ID it. Any help?

    Thanks!

That first pic of the body is just... amazing! It's almost like art It makes you wonder about the history of that guitar. Nice!

As Rick pointed out, you have (the body) of a Jackson Limited Edition´88. Here's what I know:

Jackson had plans for a 12 string model but eventually abandoned the idea. The left over parts were used to make the Limited Edition '88 model, Made in USA - easily recognized by the route behind the bridge. A route intended for the 12 string arrangement.
More note-worthy features: scalloped neck from fret 19-24, JT-6 tremolo, offset dots in fingerboard, slanted front pickup. reverse head stock, special inlay in 12th fret.

Go here for the same info but some more pics of this special model:

Wow, thanks guys! I got the body from helping out a friend with some renovations at his place. I wouldn't take any money from him in exchange for the work, and so he gave me the guitar body. Maybe he still has the neck kicking around somewhere, but we haven't found it yet...

I still dig that blue finish. Nice Find.
Let me know if you decide to sell the body. I have a reverse USA Jackson neck that would suite it. Though it doesn't have the inlays that the LTD '88 had.

"last one i saw went for 4500 7 years ago"...

Sure. 7 years ago? 4500 pesos more likely.

                    Couldn't agree more.
To quote Ron ...I predict 0 bids with a $1999.00 opener.

Awesome name! Buy a guitar from him? I probably wouldn't ask him for directions or get within 10 ft of him.
