  • 1984 Silverburst Jackson Concert Bass

Hi all, new member here. Thought I would show my pride and joy. This is a 1984 Jackson Concert Student Bass, in silverburst... serial J0261. I bought this recently and it plays and sounds absolutely fantastic. I was pretty stunned with the sustain of this at my first show playing it. I know that it's an early serial Jackson and the 261'st non-RR Jackson made, but I'd love to know what actual number Jackson bass it is. Are there any records of build numbers anywhere?

Somewhere in the 40-50 range I would say.

what makes it more unique like I said in the other club is it is a PJ not a P/HB from the time period a lot of them were coming out in that P/HB pickup style.
Trying to find a build sheet this many years later unless someone recognizes it and knows who it was for, or someone saved it in the original case is pretty much non-existent.

Bingo LOL! I counted 261 as the 43rd bass built.

I have a 1984 Jackson serial number J0227. I purchased it new and like a dumbass lost the build sheet. I have tried tracking the build sheet several times but it's gonzo. I could have sworn it is a rosewood fingerboard but man it's dark. I think dot inlay would confirm rosewood. Would love to share photos but apparently I'm not authorized to do so.

they did have very dark boards, look at the difference between my crackle and my dinky. the build sheet says rosewood.
