buy yourself 3 sets, try them and make your mind up that way. i've always used the factory strings until they break. then i just buy any 25"inch scale set. i have a wrmg, not a dkmg but it has exactly the same hardware. as far as i know, all guitars are pre-strung with guage 9 strings. i rarely break strings but i generally use 10's.

Jacksons come standard with D'Addario 9s, I believe. Why not just stick with your Fender strings?

        I usually buy bulk 3 or 10 packs of D`Addario 9-42`s. Jack.

Are Fender Bullets good for 25" scale like the DLMG has?

Sure, you'd just cut the ball/bullet end of the string off anyway to insert into the Floyd saddles. Both guitars have the 25.5" scale anyway, but it doesn't really matter what scale the guitar has.

A 29 fret guitar would take the same strings dude.

Using the Fender strings now would make sence for sure. Jack.

DR's are very good for punchy hard rock. The 9's seem a little thicker than most sets I've played and a little stiffer, but still very bendable. I love em!

ernie ball, skinny top/heavy bottoms. or for a more "expensive" feel, ernie ball 9-42's.
