Jackson Import Model Closest to the SL2H

Anybody know what the closest import model is to the SL2H? Is an SLSMG pretty similar?

SLSMG has a thinner neck, thinner body, and a string-thru TOM bridge instead of a Floyd. It's also made of Mahogony. I would say the SL3 is the closest current model to the SL2H, or if you can find one the SL4 was pretty close as well.

SL-4. The other than components, the main difference is that the SL-4 has 22 frets.

I know you are talking about Jackson but the Charvel Model 5 is a neck-thru and dual hums. Just add an OFR

Quality-wise, the closest ones are probably the Soloist Pro (H-S-S(???)) and the Charvel Model 5 (H-H, but with dots, rosewood and no binding).

I have become a big fan of the old neck-thru Charvels, even though I was into Jackson mostly for the exotic pointies (RR & KV). I now have two Charvies, and I couldn't be a happier camper!

are you sure the SL4 was 22 frets, Guitar Asylum had a NOS one a few months back, and told me it was the 2 hum version of the SL3...

Yep, 22 frets, I bought a black one when they first came out and sent it back, it was horrible, not worth the $599 I paid for it, the DK2 is a much better deal, especially at that time as they were in the $250-300 range!! Jack.

that ~1000 price would be the New price, but the SL4 is not currently being produced so any price on it is a Used price
