Cool, so it'll have a bound 24 fret neck with fins, awesome. I'm doing something similar with my KVX10. You should be able to get a 580 trem for cheap. In the meantime, start saving for the RR24.

There is quite a discussion about cedro there.

My threads are full of useful, well-researched info. So I will refer to them to answer questions already answered.

These were a big surprise to me as well.
I went looking for pics and found some at a german site:
http://www.guitarpoint.de/shop/index.html

JS35RR:
http://www.guitarpoint.de/shop/files...s35rr_blkk.jpg

JS35KV:

JS35KE:

JS35WR:
http://www.guitarpoint.de/shop/files...35wrktblkk.jpg

The funny thing is that they are listed as having 22 frets and a JT500. I could've sworn those are 24 fretters with a JT580POS on them...

Looks like 24 frets & JT580 trem to me. I like it, & wouldnt mind one. Of course would eventually get a DK2 neck put on it.

Re: Now there\'s a surprise... JS-35 series!?

A theory:

I read in a Jackson board that theese JS guitars which doesn't exist on Jackson's homepage are fake Jacksons made by Vorson.
Like JS40, 50 and even 90!
Maybe it's not true, but I can imagine...

In this case I don't know, this serial seems to be real. But what should we expect if it's a real fake ;-)
It can even be bought on www.musikland-online.de
But don't ever try yo ask them anything! They never answer emails :-)

Re: Now there\'s a surprise... JS-35 series!?

I find it unlikely that a company would make the effort to produce fakes that are so true to detail. I would expect to see non-standard dome knobs, etc. Nor do I think a retailer that also sells Fender would risk losing their dealership by selling fake Jacksons.

It's a fact that Jackson has made special models for the European market before, like the old "Euro-X" series. The Japanese market has also had its own models for a long time.

Seems these are available in the UK as well:

I'm tempted by one of these... Anyone know if they're just a ltd period of time thingy or if i come back in 5 months after european-festival season and they're gone?

There were/are some of these JS-35 series guitars available in the FMIC outlet store here in Hamburg.
So they are definitely built by Jackson Guitars.

Plus, why would you fake the extreme low end Jackson?
